Welcome to the web pages of the Library Staff Development Group.

Formed in January 2003, the Group works with the Head of the Kent Surrey and Sussex Library and Knowledge Services Development Team to identify, plan and deliver opportunities which support library workforce development in Kent, Surrey and Sussex, and to bring to notice new developments.

Since its inauguration, successful workshops have been delivered on a whole range of topics relevant to all levels of library staff ranging from Accessing E-Resources to Writing a Library Strategy.

These pages contain further information on the activities of the group, including the Terms of Reference, forthcoming meetings and the current Training Programme. Membership is open to others with an interest in staff development - whether "qualified" librarians or other library staff. The staff development group works closely with the KSS Searching & Training Forum (STF). If your search skills need updating (eg on NHS Evidence) you can contact this group directly.

For further information please contact the LSDG Chair or Secretary who will be more than happy to assist you with your enquiry. Alternatively, you can complete our online feedback form!
